A man was arrested by Alabama police after he reportedly threatened to bomb an Ulta Beauty store in Opelika. His mug shot later showed his face covered in bright red and blue drawings, possibly made with crayons or markers.
Timothy Vincent Lincoln, a 42-year-old from Buras, Louisiana, has been charged with making a first-degree terrorist threat.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted in Lee County District Court and reviewed by Law&Crime, Lincoln was on the phone outside the Ulta Beauty store located on Enterprise Drive in the Tiger Town shopping center, just before 10 a.m. on Saturday.
An employee who was also outside overheard Lincoln allegedly say, “I’m going to blow this s— up.” The employee quickly went inside to alert the staff, prompting the store’s evacuation.
The complaint did not clarify whether Lincoln had previously entered the store or had a prior argument that led to the threat.
Police officers from the Opelika Police Department arrived but found no explosives. The store soon resumed normal operations.

At some point, Lincoln decided to color his face with various drawings. His beard and nose were painted bright blue, while much of his face was covered in red lines, with a dark line crossing his forehead.
Police did not provide details on how Lincoln obtained the drawing materials or what he intended to achieve. A spokesperson for the police did not immediately respond to phone and email inquiries seeking clarification.
Lincoln was taken to the Lee County Detention Center, where he remains held on a $100,000 bond.
If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. Ulta Beauty has issued a ban, prohibiting Lincoln from entering the store.
