On Tuesday, Morgan publicly apologized for airing an interview with singer Jaguar Wright, who made unverified accusations about Jay-Z.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé are upset with Piers Morgan for airing an interview that made unfounded allegations against them.
In a recent interview on Morgan’s “Uncensored” show, singer Jaguar Wright referred to Jay-Z as a “monster” who “starts little fires everywhere.”
She also claimed to have been in contact with alleged “victims” ready to testify against the rapper, comparing the situation to the legal battles involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Wright went further to claim that both Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, have mistreated people. “They’re a nasty little couple.
They do terrible things—like holding people against their will or putting them on planes while they’re unconscious,” she said.
Alex Spiro, the attorney for Jay-Z and Beyoncé, condemned Morgan for airing such statements, calling them false.
He warned that if Morgan did not retract the interview and apologize, legal consequences would follow.
Spiro clarified that he gave Morgan an ultimatum: “Remove the false and baseless accusations, or a court will force you to do it.” He added that the broadcaster made a sensible choice by complying.

Spiro also noted that Morgan’s decision to air such claims not only harmed the Carters but took attention away from real victims.
On Tuesday, Morgan gave a brief apology during his show, stating, “Jaguar Wright unexpectedly made serious accusations against Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
At the time, they weren’t present to respond or defend themselves, but they have now.”
He continued, “Their lawyers contacted us, stating that the claims were entirely false and without any evidence.

We have since complied with a legal request to remove those parts of the interview.
Editing interviews isn’t something we do lightly on a show called Uncensored, but like shouting ‘fire’ in a crowded theater, there are legal limits, and we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
