Jamie Foxx has opened up about a frightening experience during his health scare, sharing that he felt the presence of the Devil.
The acclaimed actor, comedian, and singer used humor to recount the ordeal, taking the opportunity to poke fun at music mogul Diddy’s ongoing legal issues.
During his Netflix special “What Had Happened Was…”, Foxx revealed he had suffered a life-threatening stroke in April 2023 caused by a brain bleed.
The medical emergency left him with memory loss spanning 20 days and temporarily affected his ability to walk. For months, Foxx kept these details private, but he finally shared his experience in front of a live audience.
Amid his candid discussion, Foxx didn’t hold back when referencing his former friend, Diddy (also known as Sean Combs). The comedian took aim at Diddy’s current legal battles, using sharp humor to compare him to the Devil. The remarks sparked laughter from the audience, but they also highlighted the shift in Foxx and Diddy’s once-close friendship.

During the special, Foxx touched on a lot of topics but there was one where he went savage mode: making fun of Diddy (music producer and mogul Sean Combs’ artistic name) and his downfall.
The Hip Hop icon will face a trial in May 2025, where a potential life in prison sentence could be on the table because of Diddy’s long list of charges and accusations that include racketeering and sex trafficking.
Foxx used to be friends with Diddy but the love is long gone as the comedian wildly mocked the 55-year-old producer with some very harsh words for the notorious New York artist and businessman.
“I say this all the time: I saw a tunnel, I didn’t see the light (…) I was in that tunnel, it was hot in that tunnel. S***, am I going to the wrong place in this mother******? Because I looked at the end of the tunnel and I thought I saw the Devil and he was like ‘Come on, n*****’. Or was that Puffy?”
Foxx tried to play it off but he took another wild shot at Combs, making the crowd laugh hard. “I’m fuc**** around, but if it was Puffy, he had like a flaming bottle of Johnson & Johnson. No, I’m just kidding,” added the Academy Award winner.
His joke made reference to the fact that federal agents found more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant when they raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles. According to the authorities’ indictment, Diddy used the baby oil to subject victims to physical, emotional, and verbal abuse to cause the victims to engage in ‘Freak Offs.’

A bombshell civil lawsuit document filed by Tony Buzbee claims the 55-year-old Combs and Shawn Carter both assaulted the minor whilst a third unnamed female watched the events unfold.
It’s now claimed that the unnamed girl, referred to as Jane Doe in the legal work, may have had her alleged fate chillingly hinted at by Diddy after she signed a non-disclosure agreement and took a drink.
“You are ready to party,” it’s claimed Combs told the victim, who noted that he had a ‘crazed’ look in his eye before she was thrown against a wall and onto the bed before being held down and raped by both men, first by Jay-Z.
Carter has specifically denied this allegation and challenged Buzbee to file criminal charges instead of a civil document, while Combs continues to deny all the claims against his name, which now exceed 100 people from Buzbee alone.
