Sean Diddy, who is well-known throughout the world for his extravagant persona, is forced to live in a confined 10 by 8-foot prison cell. Even though the walls surrounding him are unforgiving and cold his thoughts are focused on his kids, not the cement or the bars.
With his head down and his hands clenched together, he sits on the short cot, his expression filled with worry. The thought of his children consumes him, even with the weight of his personal problems.
His family tries to carry on as usual despite him being confined to a jail. With their faces set and determined, they draw close to one another, whispering words of support to one another.
Unspoken but shared amongst them, a tension fills the room. Though in different ways, all seven of Diddy’s children—Quincy, Justin, Christian “King,” Chance, the twins D’Lila and Jessie, and Love, the youngest—are effected.
D’Lila and Jessie, the 17 year old twins, have been staying with a family friend in Los Angeles. Their usual sparkle seems dimmed, but they push through the days with a quiet strength, supported by those closest to them.
Diddy is in MDC Brooklyn in New York, where he is under suicide watch. He has strict habits (three showers a week, one hour of leisure time), and his desire to see his children only intensifies daily.
Despite the efforts of his legal team to win his release, the court has denied his bail, considering him to be a risk. His boys, Justin and Christian, were there, silent witnesses to what was happening, and it filled the courtroom with emotion.
Though the charges against him are grave, involving allegations of racketeering conspiracy, and other ugly charges including fraud, it is the uncertainty about his children that appears to gnaw at him most.

He imagines their faces, particularly the younger ones, and wonders how they are coping in his absence. The connection he yearns for feels just out of reach, yet he knows his family is keeping strong, holding on, just as he is.
His family withdraws from the outside world and finds comfort in their faith. With their heads bent and their hands clenched, they gather for prayers, sharing a great burden.
They seek guidance at these times, not knowing what the future offers but bound by their love for one another. At the end of every session is a thought of Diddy and the hope that someday, by some means, he may be able to talk to his kids.
