Recently, Damon Dash addressed the grave accusations made against Sean “Diddy” Combs, calling the circumstances “disturbing.”
In a conversation with TMZ in New York City, Dash was asked about Diddy’s legal troubles, including lawsuits, arrest, indictment, and imprisonment.
He acknowledged the severity of the accusations, particularly given his long history with Diddy.
Just days earlier, Dash had addressed Diddy’s situation during an interview with his network, America Nu.
He expressed his discomfort, stating, “Watching what’s going on with Puff, it doesn’t feel good.” Dash added that despite any past issues, he does not wish harm upon anyone, saying, “I’m not going to celebrate the pain of anybody, any human being, even if they deserve it.”
“The things that they’re saying…they’re terrible,” Dash declared. “It’s hard for me to even think that any of those things can be true. I don’t want them to be true.
They’re saying they’re going to pick him up next year. I don’t want to see that man go to jail. As much as he’s been to me unfair, or not unfair, the way he’d be f-ing with my money, I want to hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing.”
The conversation also shifted to rumors about Jay-Z, Dash’s former partner at Roc-A-Fella Records, allegedly being involved in Diddy’s notorious parties, referred to as “Freak Offs.”
Dash also raised questions about Jay-Z’s silence on the matter. He remarked, “I would never want to hear like, ‘Jay at the freak off party,’ that’s crazy,” and expressed confusion as to why Jay-Z has not spoken out.

He explained Jay-Z’s influential role in Hip-Hop, saying, “Jay is also a pillar of Hip-Hop, and if anything bad happens to him, then it’s really going to look crazy for Hip-Hop.”
Dash further discussed his personal connection with Jay-Z, explaining that Jay was once considered a close family figure. “Jay’s supposed to be my son’s godfather,” he added. “How does he do that to Boogie’s godson’s father?”
Damon Dash co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke in 1994. The record label became a key player in Hip-Hop, representing artists like Kanye West, The Diplomats, and Memphis Bleek.

Despite their professional success, Dash and Jay-Z’s friendship deteriorated over the years, and they have been at odds for more than two decades.
Although Dash attempted to reconcile in 2021, when he thanked Jay-Z during his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, it seems their relationship remains distant.
