Rapper Cardi B appears to have a lot going on in her life right now.
One piece of news is positive, but another has fans concerned about the rapper. The good news is that Cardi has revealed she is expecting her third child.
In other news, Cardi Be filed for a new divorce, requesting to be separated from her estranged husband, Offset.
On Thursday, August 1st, the American rapper announced her pregnancy on her official Instagram account. She said she was looking forward to welcoming a new member into her expanding family.
In the Instagram post, Cardi expressed her gratitude to her unborn third child for “more love, more life, and most of all [renewing] my power” and featured two pictures of her expanding baby bulge.
Captioning the post, she wrote; “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!
She continued; “I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
But, Cardi’s good news comes just a few hours after she made public that she and her estranged husband, Offset, had filed for divorce. The divorce was filed on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, based on reports obtained.
The current petition will be the second try. As you may recall, Card initially filed for divorce in 2020, around September, but it was later dismissed in October of the same year. In December 2023, Card published a comment on social media indicating she had been single for some time.
Based on the appearance of things, it appears that the pair haven’t been as close since their initial attempt at divorce, with sources stating that they have “grown apart.” counteracting rumors that infidelity was the root of their marriage problems.
In contrast to the previous divorce attempt, which was predicated on accusations of adultery, reports indicate that this latest attempt is not predicated on cheating, however, the real reason for it is yet unknown to the public.
It is revealed in the latest petition that Cardi is requesting primary custody of their children and that she is not giving up this time.
After formally getting married in 2017, the pair have been together for seven (7) years. They have a daughter, Kulture, who is five years old, and a son, Wave, who is two years old. A third child is on the way.
