Rihanna’s fans have been waiting for a new album for over a decade, and the good news is that she is ready to make a comeback. According to The Sun, the brilliant vocalist intends to release an album in 2025 and embark on a world tour in the same year.
The forthcoming album will be Rihanna’s ninth studio album, after her eighth album “Anti,” which was released on January 28, 2016, marking nearly a decade since her last release.
Remember that Rihanna, who is now a mother of two, has taken some time away from music to focus on her personal life and family commitments.
Additionally, Rihanna is believed to be headlining next summer’s Glastonbury festival. She was originally scheduled to perform at the festival in 2023 before becoming pregnant with her second child, according to The Sun.
“It’s been a running joke how long Rihanna’s ninth album has taken to be released, but finally the wait is almost over,” says Sun journalist Jason Hardwick. The claims, made by Hardwick, are reportedly coming from an insider in Rihanna’s camp.

“Over the years, so many songs have been recorded with loads of different people, including Alesso and Diplo. She has gone from pop to reggae to hip-hop and everything in between. But because she wants it to sound fresh, and because of where Rihanna is at in her life, practically everything was scrapped.
“Some have been reworked, but the majority was canned completely when she went back to the drawing board earlier this year. Rihanna has been back in the studio for a while now, and things are finally coming together.”
Rihanna is also planning a massive world tour in 2025, which might be one of the biggest comebacks in history. Furthermore, the publication claims that Rihanna will continue the momentum of her tour and is reportedly considering a major performance at Glastonbury.
Rihanna has released eight official studio albums throughout her music career. Her debut album, “Music of the Sun,” came out on August 30, 2005, followed by “A Girl Like Me” on April 10, 2006.
She received a lot of attention with her album “Good Girl Gone Bad,” which was out on May 30, 2007. She followed up her triumph with “Rated R” on November 20, 2009, and “Loud” on November 12, 2010.
Rihanna’s sixth album, “Talk That Talk,” was released on November 21, 2011, while “Unapologetic” was released on November 19, 2012. Her most recent album, titled “Anti,” was released on January 28, 2016.
