Wembley Stadium is going above and beyond to ensure the security of Taylor Swift’s admirers during her London shows the following week.
Swift, a Grammy-winning pop artist, is getting ready for her gigs in London and Wembly, which start on August 15. However, following her previously postponed Vienna shows last week due to terror threats, many people are still worried.
People were shocked and scared last week when news broke of a plot to explode bombs inside the event and kill a large number of people outside the arena during the Austrian Eras Tour shows.
Three young people have been arrested thus far in relation to the thwarted plan.
Swift has disclosed that, due to the ongoing London riots, which significantly burden local police, she will use private counterterrorism security soldiers to safeguard her audience at her next London shows.
TMZ, a US-based entertainment website, was informed by sources that worries persist even with Wembley’s stringent security measures and reputation as one of the most secure locations in Europe for counterterrorism.
Ben Knott, operations director of FGH Security in England, states that plainclothes and uniformed personnel are usually used by counterterrorism security agencies to identify persons who stand out.
He said, for instance, that security would intervene if someone was looking for cameras and cops in the vicinity because that was a red flag that something wasn’t right.
He stated that the strategy would usually be to ask if they needed help with anything, but cops would be dispatched right away if security smelled something fishy.
According to a member of the hospitality crew, Wembley Stadium is tightening its security measures in preparation for the concerts. It is anticipated that walk-through metal detectors would be installed as extra security.
Swift has not yet released a statement on what happened.
