A farmer allegedly bound two young men after catching them trespassing on his property, tying them to his quad bike and transporting them four miles to a police station.
The 52-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail after reportedly strapping a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old to the front and back of his quad bike in Lancashire.
Although both young men are now free, one of them recalled the frightening experience during an interview with The Sun.
Seventeen-year-old Leland Hornby explained that while his friend was riding an electric bike on the land that Saturday night, they found the exit gate locked when they tried to leave.
His friend decided to leave the bike on the land and return the next morning after the gate had been opened. However, upon his return, he was surprised to discover that the bike had vanished.
Leland stated, “As we walked back, the farmer approached us from behind, jumped off his quad bike, and tackled us to the ground.”
The quick farmer managed to catch them both, pulling their hoods over their heads and tying them to his quad bike. He then sped off to the police station, intent on handing them over.
Leland described his fear about what the farmer might do next, saying, “We couldn’t move. I was on the back of the quad bike, and my friend was at the front.”
He revealed that they were not securely tied to the quad bike and often felt like they were going to fall off during the ride.
CCTV footage captured the farmer racing through the streets with the two tied up.
Leland’s mother expressed her concern, saying, “They were frightened to death. Absolutely terrified. The pair of them nearly fell off the quad bike.” She was deeply upset by the farmer’s actions and questioned why he didn’t simply call the police.

Lancashire Police confirmed they received a call from a man claiming he had detained two individuals on his property.
But as police were heading to the farm, the farmer called again to inform them he had already arrived at a local police station with the two young men.
“When officers went to meet the man, they found a teenager and a man in his 20s on a quad bike with their hands and feet tied,” a police spokesperson said. “They were not securely tied to the quad bike.”
The farmer was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault but has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
