Marc Agnifilio, the lawyer for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, offered a bizarre explanation for the acquisition of “1,000 bottles” of baby oil and lubricant during searches on Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes in March.
Recall that federal agents seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant as part of a bigger investigation into Combs’ possible involvement in a sex trafficking ring.
In response to the claims, his attorney, Marc, stated in an exclusive with The New York Post, “I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot. I mean, there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know.”
The defense lawyer went on to say “And you know these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know, we can’t get so puritanical in this country to think that somehow sex is a bad thing because if it was there would be no more people.”
During a seven-hour conversation with Combs, Agnifilo continued to establish his defense case, hoping to eventually clear the 54-year-old rapper’s name. According to him, Combs is actively involved in the strategy, reviewing evidence and preparing for the upcoming legal battle.

The defense attorney also stated that the case’s core claims, including stories from those who allege they were compelled into non-consensual encounters, are being thoroughly contested.
Combs, who is still in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, is facing serious allegations like as sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. However, his legal team insists that he is innocent. Agnifilo stated that, despite the gravity of the accusations, Combs remains optimistic.
“He’s just laser-focused, he’s engaged, he’s helpful, he’s confident. We’re going through our defense as we do every day and his spirits are relatively good,” Agnfilio said, adding that the prosecution’s assertion that additional witnesses have come forward in recent days has not deterred their stamina.
Sean Diddy Combs was arrested on September 16th, his arrest followed a series of allegations, starting with a lawsuit by Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who accused him of rape and physical abuse. The lawsuit was settled a day after it went public, but more claims soon emerged.
According to the indictment, some of these so-called “Freak Offs” lasted days, forcing participants, including Combs, to receive IV fluids due to exhaustion and drug use.

In addition to the sexual assault allegations, investigators found quite a bit of incriminating evidence, including video recordings, narcotics, firearms, and ammunition, during searches of his houses.
Three AR-15 rifles with defaced serial numbers were among the firearms, compounding the creator of Bad Boy Records’ legal troubles. If convicted, Combs may face life in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 15 years.
Despite his attorneys proposing a $50 million bond and house arrest, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky sided with the prosecution and denied Combs’ release as his bail request has been denied twice already.
The rapper is, however, scheduled to reappear before court for his next hearing on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
