A video of Sean “Diddy” Combs presenting a young woman as his ‘adopted daughter’ has resurfaced, raising concern among fans after Diddy’s recent arrest.
In the video, which dates back to 2020, Diddy, now 54, jokingly claimed during an Instagram live session that he had “adopted” a girl named Ava because he wanted her to have a Black parent. However, sources have since confirmed to TMZ that the adoption never actually happened, and the video was a skit.
In the clip, Diddy is seen giving Ava a kiss on the cheek and introducing her as his adopted daughter. Ava, in turn, shares how she was “on the streets” before “Papa Combs decided to be a caring man.” The video is light-hearted, with Diddy laughing as he talks about adopting her like celebrities such as Madonna and Sandra Bullock have adopted children.
He adds that he wanted Ava to experience having a Black parent. Ava clarifies that she has her own parents and that her mother gave permission for her to spend time with Diddy and his family.
Ava has reportedly been friends with Diddy’s twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, since they were young children. Her parents are close friends with Diddy’s late ex-partner, Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018.
Despite the playful nature of the video, Diddy does not have any formal parental role in Ava’s life, and her family has since distanced themselves from him. Watch Video Below
Diddy is the father of seven children, whom he shares with different women. His twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, are 17 and were born from his relationship with Kim Porter, with whom he also shared a son, Christian, 26, and adopted her son Quincy, 33, from her previous relationship. Kim Porter tragically passed away in 2018 from pneumonia at the age of 47.
In addition to his children with Porter, Diddy also shares a son, Justin, 30, with stylist Misa Hylton and a daughter, Chance, 18, with businesswoman Sarah Chapman. In December 2022, Diddy welcomed his youngest child, Love, with model Dana Tran.

Recently, Diddy was arrested on serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and facilitating prostitution. These accusations date back to 2008 and claim that Diddy has been involved in abusing and coercing women for years to fulfill his sexual desires.
After his arrest, a judge denied his bail despite Diddy’s offer to use his homes, valued at $50 million, as collateral. His appeal to overturn this decision was rejected, meaning he will remain in custody as he awaits trial.
The indictment against Diddy revealed that federal raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles uncovered over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, with accusations that Diddy forced women into days-long sexual encounters he referred to as ‘freak offs.’
Prosecutors have also claimed that Diddy’s associates would drug victims to make them compliant and threatened those who refused to participate.
These serious allegations led to the charges of sex trafficking, an offense that has been increasingly used by prosecutors to target powerful figures, including in cases like that of Keith Raniere.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has hired lawyer Marc Agnifilo, who is known for challenging the expanding use of federal sex trafficking charges, to represent him in court.
