The 2025 Oscar Awards came off on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles held to honor the finest achievements in cinema for the year 2024.

This year’s Oscars was hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien, and it was the comedian’s first time hosting the ceremony.

The likes of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Lisa, Doja Cat, and Reye, graced the 97th Academy Awards with powerful musical performances, as well as Queen Latifah who paid tribute to the late Quincy Jones by performing ‘Ease on Down the Road” from The Wiz.

At the 2025 Oscars, Sean Baker made history by winning four awards in a single night for his work on Anora: Best Picture (as producer), Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.

Mikey Madison won Best Actress for her role in Anora, marking her first Oscar win. Adrien Brody won Best Actor for The Brutalist, which also received awards for Best Cinematography and Best Original Score. Zoe Saldaña won Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez, marking her first Oscar win.

Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, marking his first Oscar win. While actors and actresses typically receive individual awards, directors and producers like Baker can be recognized in multiple categories, as seen in this year’s ceremony.
