Andrew Garfield shared a memorable experience while promoting his new movie, “We Live in Time,” alongside co-star Florence Pugh.
Garfield described how, during a romantic sequence, he and Pugh were so engrossed in the moment that they failed to hear the director say, “cut.”
Speaking at an event, Garfield explained that this happened during the first take of a “very intimate, passionate” scene.
Filming took place on a closed set, with only the two actors, a camera operator, and a boom operator present.
As the scene progressed, the actors became so absorbed in the performance that they unintentionally extended the scene beyond the intended cut.
Garfield humorously noted that he and Pugh both sensed something was off when they noticed the crew members politely turning their backs, unsure how to interrupt.

Despite the scene going on longer than planned, both actors felt comfortable enough in the environment to continue.
“We Live In Time” tells the story of Garfield and Pugh’s characters, whose lives change after an unexpected encounter. The film is set to release in U.S. theaters on October 11.
